Mr. Harris listens to his clients to understand their needs and help them achieve their goals. He practices before all state and federal courts in Hawaii and represents clients in trials, administrative agency hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Harris’ civil litigation practice includes representing clients in matters involving:

Commercial and Business Disputes: Representing businesses and individuals in large and small commercial matters involving breach of contract claims, tortious interference claims, unfair and deceptive trade practices claims, unfair competition claims, and claims for injunctive and declaratory relief. Assisting clients in pre-judgment and post-judgment collection matters.

Real Estate Litigation: Representing property owners in a variety of real estate litigation matters including commercial and residential landlord-tenant (summary possession) actions, condominium disputes, partition actions, and quiet title actions, and representing buyers and sellers in tort and breach of contract claims arising from DROA and related sales transactions.

Employment Liability: Advising and representing corporations and small businesses in the defense of federal and state employment discrimination claims involving race, national origin, ancestry, gender, pregnancy, age, and allegations of whistleblower status and/or retaliation.

Personal Injury and Insurance Defense: Representing clients in a wide spectrum of personal injury and insurance defense claims that includes wrongful death claims, premises liability claims, product liability claims, employment practice liability claims, and professional malpractice (errors and omissions) claims.
Before joining Rush Moore LLP, Mr. Harris was a judge advocate in the Air Force where he prosecuted criminal trials by courts-martial and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. He also advised military commanders on a diverse range of legal issues, including labor and employment law, government contracting, and tort claims against the U.S. government.
