Ms. Strandtman has over 30 years of experience in appellate practice and civil defense and tort litigation of various types, including commercial and personal injury cases. Her experience includes defending and prosecuting appeals in the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals, the Hawaii Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and handling arbitration hearings, hearings before the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs ("DCCA"), and trials in District Court, Circuit Court, and Bankruptcy Court.
Ms. Strandtman graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism from the California State University at Fullerton, where she also competed as a member of the University's Division I National Gymnastics Championship team. She attended the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai`i, graduating in 1991. She joined Rush Moore LLP A Limited Liability Law Partnership as an associate attorney in 1991 and became a partner in 1999. She became of counsel to the firm in 2001 when she moved from Oahu to Hawaii Island. In addition to her legal career, Ms. Strandtman is a Nationally rated women’s gymnastics judge.
