Ms. Yusi’s extensive experience includes jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, hearings at the Disability Compensation Division, trials at the Labor and Industrial Relations Appeals Board, and arguments before the Hawaii Supreme Court and the Intermediate Court of Appeals for the State of Hawaii.
Based on her experience as a trial lawyer in civil litigation cases, Ms. Yusi became a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, an association of attorneys with proven experience and success in the handling of defense litigation for the insurance industry. She also was a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC), a distinction given to select lawyers who devote a substantial amount of time to the representation of insurance companies, associations, or other corporations in civil litigation.
Following law school, Ms. Yusi practiced for three years with a litigation firm in Chicago, Illinois. After marrying and relocating to Hawaii, she joined Rush Moore LLP in 1980 and became the law firm’s first female partner in 1984.
