Attorney Daniel M. Chen is a Partner at the law firm of Rush Moore LLP in Honolulu, Hawaii. Mr. Chen is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and serves clients on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Hawaii Island.  Mr. Chen has been licensed to practice in Hawaii since 2001 and has 18 years of experience.

Over the course of his career, he has represented clients in matters involving personal injury, trustee-beneficiary disputes, business disputes, partition lawsuits, real estate disputes, and sexual assault claims.  He has received an AV-Preeminent peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell and an Avvo Rating of 10.0.

 

An experienced litigator, Mr. Chen has appeared in both state and federal court. In addition, he is a skilled negotiator and serves as an arbitrator for the Hawaii Court Annexed Arbitration Program. He has participated in numerous court hearings, arbitrations and mediations.

 

In addition to running his practice, Mr. Chen has held seminars for corporate clients on insurance and litigation topics. He has also served as a Presenter for the National Business Institute.

 

Mr. Chen is active in the Hawaii State Bar Association and belongs to the litigation, probate, real estate, and business law sections. He is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and serves as the Hawaii State Membership Chair for the Defense Research Institute.

 

After graduating from Punahou School, Mr. Chen attended the University of Pennsylvania and received a bachelor’s degree.  He then received his law degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law. While attending law school, he was a member of the Law Review.
