Mr. Valdez was born in Iwakuni, Japan. He attended the University of Hawaii and graduated in 1981, with distinction, with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech. In 1975, Mr. Valdez then attended the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law, and graduated with the degree of Juris Doctor in 1986. Mr. Valdez first worked for Carlsmith, Carlsmith, Wichman & Case as a document analyst/researcher. Then worked for Shigemura & Ching as a law clerk/associate attorney from 1986 to 1989. He was then a staff attorney for the Office of Council Services until 1992, and a Public Utilities Commission staff attorney until 2000. Mr. Valdez then formed Valdez & Associates, LLLC. And in 2007, Mr. Valdez joined Rush Moore LLP A Limited Liability Law Partnership as an associate attorney.
