Mr. Tani has 10 years of experience in defending tort litigation of all types, including automobile accidents, premises liability, products liability and construction defects, first and third party bad faith cases against insurance companies, and insurance coverage issues through declaratory relief actions. His experience includes jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, and mediations. He has also appeared before the Hawai`i Supreme Court. Mr. Tani has also served as an arbitrator in the State of Hawai`i Court Annexed Arbitration Program.

Mr. Tani graduated from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1988, he graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law. Mr. Tani then clerked for the Honorable Robert G. Klein, formerly Associate Justice of the Hawai`i Supreme Court. Mr. Tani served as a Deputy Public Defender for the State of Hawai`i for four years. After working as an Associate Attorney at Reinwald O'Connor & Playdon for five years, he joined Rush Moore LLP A Limited Liability Law Partnership in 1999 and became a partner in 2002.
