Ms. Sakashita has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of real property, finance and business law. Her practice has concentrated in the acquisition, sale and leasing of a variety of commercial properties including hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes and vacant land. Ms. Sakashita has also represented large landowners and developers in several dispositions, by way of 1031 exchanges. Some of the transactions she has been involved in include the Ala Moana Hotel, the Ritz Carlton, Turtle Bay Resort, Aloha Surf Hotel, Makaloa Plaza, Elima Lani, Maui Park, Moanalua Hillside Apartments, the Mauian Hotel, Grand Waikapu and Sandalwood golf courses and various lots in the Ko Olina Resort, Campbell Industrial Park and Kapolei areas. Ms. Sakashita has also negotiated architectural, construction and other development contracts involving renovations and additions to various commercial buildings, hotels and the expansion of the Honolulu airport.

Ms. Sakashita attended the University of California at Santa Cruz and graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. In 1975, Ms. Sakashita graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Masters in Social Work. Ms. Sakashita then attended the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law, and graduated with the degree of Juris Doctor in 1987. Ms. Sakashita became a partner at Carlsmith Ball LLP and Paul Johnson Park & Niles. Then Ms. Sakashita joined Rush Moore LLP A Limited Liability Law Partnership in 2007.
