Ms. Nakoa has over fourteen (14) years experience in the areas of general and tort litigation, commercial litigation, plaintiff and defendant's personal injury, animal law and advising non-profit and charitable organizations. Her experience includes jury trials, bench trials, mandatory and binding arbitrations and mediations.

Ms. Nakoa was born in Honolulu and raised on Maui. She received a Bachelor of Arts in political science degree from the University of Massachusetts at Boston in 1986, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Hawai`i in 1990. From 1998-2004, Ms. Nakoa was the managing partner at Strance & Nakoa, Attorneys at Law. Prior to that, she practiced at Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel. From 1999-2004, Ms. Nakoa served as a per diem judge in the District and Family Courts of the Third Circuit Court, State of Hawai`i before joining Rush Moore LLP A Limited Liability Law Partnership as a partner in 2005.
